Hello, my favorite Morselites!
Can you believe we’re already in the middle of November? After last week’s election results, we could all use some sweet tips to help us feel more festive as we head into the holiday season. Now is not the time to put our heads in the sand and ignore self-care or helping our/your communities, especially those directly impacted by the recent decision. Remember to put on your oxygen mask first so that you can help those around you. November is the month of Thanksgiving and as heavy and challenging these times are, try to focus on three things or people you are grateful for. Helping someone else can make a world of difference in their lives as well as in your overall health.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month!
This is a topic close to my heart. With pre-diabetes and a family history of heart health challenges, I’m committed to sharing healthier choices we can all make without cold turkey deprivation. It’s Thanksgiving, after all! So let’s carve out a little room to get mindful about sugar and make small changes that add up so that we don’t gobble gobble – wobble wobble into the new year. 🙂
New Documentary Film Recommendation: The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause
This documentary is especially exciting—a new film called The M Factor is here to shed some light on a subject many of us experience but don’t talk about enough: menopause! I think you’ll find it empowering and insightful. Menopause brings a lot of changes, but knowing more about it helps us make better choices to stay strong and vibrant.
Introducing: My Holiday Sugar Crush Program!
‘Tis the Season for a Reason to Crush Your Holiday Sugar Rush this Diabetes Awareness month. I’m happy to announce my Holiday Sugar Crush program. This program will help you navigate the holiday season without feeling deprived sans sugar hangovers. I know I’ve had my fair share. No, mo ho ho’s! 🙂 We’ll explore simple, satisfying swaps, mindfulness tips, and Morselicious recipes. Book your session and/or contact me to book a group workshop.
A Sweeter less sugary Thanksgiving
Whether you’re hosting or bringing a dish to the table, Thanksgiving can be a time to feel good about what you’re eating and how you’re feeling. Try adding in a morsel of something colorful, like a rainbow veggie platter or a pumpkin dish with spices that can help balance blood sugar. Cinnamon is great for reducing blood sugar and adds sweetness without the sugar. It’s all about morsel-sized or morselized choices that support progress in our health and wellness journey.
So here’s to a November filled with gratitude, laughter, and a touch of sweetness—the Morselicious way! If you’re interested in the Holiday Sugar Crush program or have any questions about staying healthy through the holidays, hit reply. I’d love to connect.
Wishing you a happy, healthy November!
XO,
Mo, the Morselist
