It’s May! It’s May! The merry month of May! (Bonus points if you can name that musical).

Hello, Marvelous Morselites! 💚

It’s Mo, your colorful Morselist, frolicking into May full of gratitude, greens, and a whole lotta love for our mamas, mighty women, and magical guts!

Here’s what’s on the menu this month — of course, it’s always gluten-free, lightly to unsweetened, and sprinkled with extra sass. 😉

🥖 Celiac Awareness Month
Most of you know that I have celiac, so, yes, I’m gluten-free—for survival. This month, and well, every month, I’m on a mission to raise more awareness, compassion, and morselicious alternatives. Whether you’re celiac, gluten-sensitive, or just trying to improve your gut health, I’m here to support you, and you can find my recipes in previous posts and my cookbooks. #MorseliciousAndCeliacSafe

💪 National Women’s Health Week (May 12–18)
To my female friends, this is our week to shine (as if we ever stopped ). Time to check in with ourselves. Whether you’re battling burnout (Seriously, who isn’t?),  balancing hormones, or dealing with brain fog, I’m here with healthy ideas, morselicious tips, and a reminder that our health is our superpower. 💃

🌷 Mother’s Day (May 11)
To the Morselicious mamas, grandmas, step-moms, fur-moms, and mother-figures who’ve ever cooked for us, gave some extra TLC, or made our veggies tasty to ensure we liked what we were eating—you are the true heroes!  💐  To my extra special Mama, may your day be filled with joy, extra R & R, and a tasty treat that doesn’t spike your blood sugar! To all of my sugar-free sugarplums, contact me if you need any suggestions.

Here are some fun, Mo-approved activities to celebrate National Women’s Health Week (May 12–18) that nourish the mind, body, and spirit, with a splash of sass and sprinkles of self-care/love:

💃 Get on your Glow

  • Plan a “Sweat & Stretch” Session – Invite friends for a walk on the beach or a hike, followed by a short stretching session.
  • Try Something New – Hula hoop, (it’s much harder than when I was a kid), but I tried it one mo’ time! Zumba, pickleball, spin—shake up your routine with something fun and fearless.
  • After dinner stroll – Take a sunset walk after din-din with loved ones including your furry friends.

🥗 Nourish Like a Queen

  • Host a “Make-Your-Own Morselicious Meal” Party – Think colorful bowls with clean protein and healthy fats, easy stuffed peppers, taco salads, low to no-sugar treats…
  • Clean Pantry Purge – Purge the tempting “food-like products” and replace them with real food items. The first time I was able to do this without feeling guilty is when I saw my friend toss a row of store-bought cupcakes. Me: “How can you throw those away?” Mark: “It’s not real food, just chemicals and gunk.” Now, I’m not saying to toss homemade treats someone makes for you, but he was right, there is a difference. Read your labels and you’ll know. If not, send me a message if you have questions.
  • Eat a Rainbow of Veggies Challenge: Eat one new colorful veggie every day. Bonus points for incorporating colorful veggies into every meal.

Morselicious hugs!

XO,
Mo 💚
