Ho Ho Ho!
Have you been naughty or nice or a Morselicious Mix of the two?
I hope you are enjoying fun festivities and fulfilling food.
Did you know that wassail comes from the Old Norse word meaning “good health?” I just learned that and wanted to jollify your day with the fun trivia. So the next time you sing the Christmas Carol drinking wassail, trust that you are drinking in good health. Or as we Irish-Americans say, “slainte’!”
‘Tis the season to spread joyful cheer with your loved ones, not a time to deprive yourself of your favorite holiday treats and activities but rather enjoy mindful indulgences. Own it.
Spreading ukulele joy singing and playing Christmas carols throughout Southern California with my incredible ukulele teacher, Melanie Kareem and our uke troupe has been a blast! Truly, one of the best decisions I made this year. That and my commitment to physical therapy which is going well, thankfully!
Both music and physical exercise have been scientifically proven to improve our brain and overall health. Win-Win!
Some of you have mentioned that you want to start lessons in January. It’s also a great gift to share with someone. Experiences are some of my favorite and most memorable gifts to give and receive. Learn more here.
I was over the moon excited to discover a grain-free Gingerbread cookie dough at Sweet Laurel Bakery Bakery in Pacific Palisades, CA. There are times when even yours truly wants someone else to cook or bake, and Sweet Laurel did not disappoint. Her entire bakery is grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and vegan. Morselicious Heaven! Joy to the World!
If you’re wondering why there isn’t a photo of the baked Gingerbread cookie…don’t judge. Cookie dough is my mindful indulgence du jour. 🙂
