Happy July!
It’s a sunshine day! Grab a tall glass of homemade fancy-infused spa water; slices of cucumber, orange, and lime. If you’re feeling extra fancy, add some fresh berries. July offers an abundance of healthy treats, sparkly fun, and outdoor adventures.


🏡 I think I’ll go for a walk outside!
Last week, my childhood friends, Suzy, Michael, and I took a “far-out” tour of… The Brady Bunch House!
Favorite episodes echoed through my memory as we explored the house; “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!” (Greg, Jan, Peter, Cindy, Bobby—and of course, Alice)! Who remembers the song the Brady Kids sang on TV, It’s a Sunshine Day! 🎶 Two points if you can hum the tune. We stepped back in time from the moment we made our way to the front door, up past the classic golden station wagon. As we entered through the front door and down two steps into the subterranean Living Room, we were greeted by the avocado-green sofa, Mike’s office, and drafting table, the infamous vase that Peter broke echoed by Bobby’s, “Mom always said, don’t play ball in the house.” Gold, orange, and green Kitchen appliances, and the shag carpet. And, does anyone else remember Jan’s imaginary boyfriend, George Glass? 🙂 The final part of the tour was their backyard, including Tiger’s dog house, the swing set, and Suzy and I couldn’t resist playing on the teeter totter. So much fun until we tried to figure out/remember how to dismount. It wasn’t pretty, lol.

🎉 Mom’s birthday month
My mama is the most amazing Bad Ass in all the positive ways you can imagine and we celebrate her birthday this month! Love you to the moon and beyond, Mama!
🧺 Healthy Picnic & BBQ Ideas
Here are a few fun, colorful ideas to make and grill this month:
- Rainbow Veggie Skewers: zucchini, orange peppers, yellow squash, home-grown cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms – grilled to perfection, brushed with olive oil & fresh herbs. Add your favorite clean protein.
- Cauliflower “Tater” Salad: with a creamy avocado-dill dressing.
- No-Sugar Sassy Berry Sparkler: sparkling water + muddled berries, basil, and lime.
- Cucumber slices with Mint: simple, hydrating, and YUM!
🍑Seasonal Picks: July’s Veggies & Fruits
Nature’s candy is heavenly this month, especially:
- Zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, and tomatoes
- Peaches, plums, cherries, blueberries, blackberries
Try some chopped stone fruit tossed into a salad with arugula, toasted walnuts, and a balsamic drizzle for a sweet-savory combo.

☀️ It’s a Sunshine Day—Nature’s Gym is FREE!
These are my favorite outdoor exercise ideas. Be sure to go at off-peak hours to avoid heat exhaustion:
- Morning Nature Walks: before the sun gets sassy—listen to the birds, leave the phone behind.
- Stretch & Breathe Under a Tree: Tree pose under a real tree = full circle zen.
- Park Bench Workouts: Step-ups, tricep dips, seated twists—yes, you CAN be that mysterious, strong woman on a bench!
Mo’s Morsel Tip: Keep a plastic-free reusable water bottle filled with lemon + mint by your side all day. Hydration is always key!
Whether you’re Brady Bunch-ing, BBQ-ing, or taking a morning hike or stroll, be sure to get a healthy dose of Vitamin-L (love and laughter)!
