Clearer paths out of chaos? WORK it out WEDNESDAY!

“Sometimes our mistakes or what seems like our worst disasters eventually lead us down a cleaner/clearer path.” – Mo, the Morselist

In honor of WORK IT OUT WEDNESDAY, my new name for Wednesday’s- I propose a thought/question:

Have you ever experienced a positive surprise as a direct or indirect result of what most would consider a minor or major tragedy?

This Morselist has!

In fact, very recently one of these “unfortuante-unplanned” events led to a major overhaul in organizing and weeding through of my office, and when I say “MAJOR,” I’m being polite!

Without going into graphic details, an icky sticky event led to a glistening-cleaning frenzy that resulted in major clutter clearing and donations to well-deserved charities and a big trip to the recycling bins!!

While I was NOT happy during the STORM, I am thrilled with the aftermath-cleansed, metaphorically.

Can you relate this event or concept to something you’ve experienced in the past or more recently?

Makes me want to sing:

I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THE RAIN IS GONE!!!

I CAN SEE ALL OBSTACLES IN MY WAY…

Sing along…you know you want to…

  1. One of the nicest things about the human race…turning obstacles into opportunity. I am soooo proud of you, Mo! You are a constant inspiration!!!

  2. Being somewhat of a control freak it’s awfully hard when things don’t go as I planned, but you’re right–more often than not it’s all for the best. Thanks Mo for your always spot on reminders!

  3. Ugh! Yes, that is EXACTLY what I’m talking about…
NOT fun, but in the end, a clearer path
    has been paved/created/carved/made
and I’m with you on “almost clutter-free)

  4. I can definitely relate! While water damage destroyed our downstairs carpet, it forced us to replace all of the floors in our house (which we had been talking about doing for a few years) – which led to repainting, new kitchen counters, etc (you get the picture) – which led to a MAJOR purging of all of the “junk” that had accumulated in our home for 18 years. So, something bad turned into something really beautiful (and clutter free . . . well . . . almost clutter free).
