Bet you’ve never heard Mary Poppins and detoxing in the same sentence? Well, I’m here to change that.
Here are my 7 tips with a lil’ inspiration from Mary Poppins on Mo’s easy ways to detox, creating a mo’MORSELICIOUS Lifestyle. They’re SUPER-CALI-FRAGIL-ISTIC!
1. Drink a cup o’ hot lemon/cayenne/ginger water first thing every morning.
2. Read labels and cut out the C.R.A.P.Carbonated sodas, Refined sugar, Artificial anything & Processed foods.
3. Choose clean-real and pure foods. (Mo’s c.r.a.p.) 🙂
4. Get on your glow every day, a.k.a. SWEAT/MOVE!!
5. Eat foods that support our health and well being vs. empty calories. We are an overfed, under-nourished society. Let’s change that.
6. Follow my 85/15 rule. 85% of the time, eat the very best optimal health fuel foods by cooking/preparing your meals at home. 15% of the time, allow yourself some wiggle room; ie. Eating out with friends, traveling, etc. Remember, it’s NOT about perfection. Strive for progress.
7. Laugh as often as possible. Laughter rleases endorphins and gives your belly and soul a fun work-out. See “get on your glow.”Better yet, share something that makes you laugh with us by posting a comment.
Where does Mary Poppins come into play, you ask? See #6. Mo’s 85/15 rule “progress not perfection.” Mary Poppins actually admits, “I’m practically perfect in every way.” Focus on the practically.
Regarding #7 -laughter, find your Mary Poppins soundtrack,(you know you own it) and play to the song, I LOVE TO LAUGH. I dare you NOT to laugh while singing along with Dick Van Dyke.
