Stumped for healthy snack ideas?
Do you crave something crunchy to chew, but want a healthier option other than a bag of over-salted and often added-sugary chips? I’ve got a recipe for you AND then some…
Mo’s top 5 MORSELICIOUS snack ideas to satisfy your crunchy cravings:
- Crispy cruitdes: cut or chop your favorite crunchy veggies, place in ice water and keep in fridge at all times for an easy go-to snack. I love radishes, carrots, celery, jicama, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower
- Brown rice cakes or organic corn thins, flax crisps, you get the idea
- Nuts, seeds: pumpkin, pepitas, sunflower, almonds, walnuts, brazil…make sure to get the unsalted or very lightly salted
- Make your own baked veggie chips: I LOVE kale chips and sweet potato chips…cut/chop your favorite veggies and lightly spray with oil of choice (I prefer extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil) season with rosemary, freshly ground black pepper, parsley, chipotle or cayenne and juice of a lemon or lime. Line on baking sheet and bake at 325 for 25 minutes or until desired crispiness. For kale, I love to sprinkle nutritional yeast for a cheeZier flavor.
Father’s Day is less than a week away and I’ve got a special coupon for you, if you’d like to share the MORSELICIOUSness…
