To show my gratitude to my Morselite Readers,
here’s Mo’s FAVORITE Morselicious Salad Dressing Recipe:
And, for the record, Mo’s Mama LOVES this dressing, too!
And, she’s PICKY! (I mean that in the BEST sense of the word.
After all, she inspired me in the kitchen) 🙂
INGREDIENTS
1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
1 clove diced Garlic
Juice of 1/2 Fresh Lemon
Fresh Basil Leaves (choppedP
Black Pepper to taste (and, you know I add Cayenne, too)
I bottle the extra and save in my Fridge for the week.
I prefer Mixed Baby Greens or Wild Arugula and I believe that
NO salad is worthy w/o avocados & nuts or seeds!
Reminder: Tomorrow is our Ask the Dietitian (ADA Column) Get your questions ready!
yes, but we are spoiled with amazing change of seasons here in MA. xo
Yes, Amy, we are spoiled with AMAZING produce here in Cali!
you are so lucky to live in avocado country!!!!
🙂 You two are, too!
Mmmm! You are incredible!! xoxo
Thanks, Seana!!!
I have had Mo’s and it is delicious and now I will have try it with a dallop of Dijon. Thanks Mo! Thanks Reece!
Your dressing sounds great! I do something very similar, but I add a nice big tablespoon of Dijon mustard which gives it a tang along with with the sweetness of the balsamic. It will also make it a little more on the “creamy” side (if you like that sort of dressing). In my book, you can add basil to almost anything and make it better! Someone should come up with a basil-scented candle (if they haven’t already). Thanks Mo!!!
