Cookies vs. Morsels

We’ve all seen the ads for Price Comparison Shopping on clothing.

How about Nutritional Comparison between so called “healthier” cookies
and Mac-n-Mo’s Morsels?
This Morselist went on a Bakery Shopping Spree and was shocked at what she found:
Mentioning no specific brand names and only comparing higher end FRESH bakery cookies,
(an ENTIRE box-One Dozen Morsels has 360 calories, 12g fat, 0 sodium, 48 Carbs, 12g sugar – Still less than ONE average bakery cookie at 420 calories)
CHOCOLATE CHIP:
COOKIE: 420 calories
MORSEL: 30 calories
COOKIE: 10g Saturated Fat
MORSEL: 0g Saturated Fat, 1 g Fat
COOKIE: 320 mg Sodium
MORSEL:  0mg Sodium
COOKIE:  64g Carbs
MORSEL: 4g Carbs
COOKIE:  32g Sugar
MORSEL:  1g Sugar
OATMEAL RAISIN:
COOKIE:  460 Calories
MORSEL:  30 Calories
COOKIE: 9g Saturated Fat
MORSEL: 0g Saturated Fat, 1g Fat
COOKIE:  300 mg Sodium
MORSEL:  0mg Sodium
COOKIE:  70g Carbs
MORSEL:  4g Carbs
COOKIE:  34g Sugar
MORSEL:  1 Sugar
Again, an ENTIRE box- ONE DOZEN Morsels contain 360 calories compared to ONE Oatmeal Raisin Cookie at 360 Calories.
Now, I know once in a while we all want to and deserve to SPLURGE, but wouldn’t you feel better if you ate mo’ morsels most of the time and Bakery Cookies on occasion?
This Morselist, albeit, NOT objective, eats morsels every night for dessert and once in a while splurges on a Cookie Cookie.
But splurging doesn’t feel as guilty when it’s truly just a splurge.  Morsels can change the way we eat snacks & treats, allowing us to truly splurge on occasion.   After all, the definition of splurge is to indulge oneself in some luxury or pleasure, occasionally.
