Hello again! Let’s Kickstart a Morselicious 2025!
In addition to this February Heart Month post, I’m also including my original January post, pre-LA fires. In fact, why don’t we pretend February is our first month of the year? I’d personally like a redo. 🙂
February is Heart Health Month. Go Red. February 7, 2025, is National Red Day. Wear red to show solidarity for heart health awareness and to spread love. If you haven’t already gotten certified in CPR, consider doing so this month. Personally, it’s time for me to renew my certification. Choose from in-person and online classes.
And, of course, February 14th is Valentine’s Day. I love the growing celebration of Galentine’s Day to honor our amazing girlfriends! My dance card is filled with festive dates next week.
My theatre company, Musical Theatre Guild is producing a concert fundraiser at the Catalina Jazz Club on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, to benefit the Youth Outreach Programs affected by the devastating fires.

—————–
I just read a statistic that said 88% of people who set New Year resolutions have given up by the end of two weeks. Does that surprise you?
Sustainable lifestyle changes don’t come from quick fixes; they come from setting realistic goals and having the tools and strategies to succeed.
A few of my favorite tools do not include deprivation. One of the first things I ask my clients is, “What are your non-negotiables?” The number one answer is coffee, and my response is, “Coffee is sacred! I would never.” Now, I will encourage them to reconsider what they put in their coffee, ie. weaning fake processed sugary creamers and spoonfuls of sugar but that’s all part of the journey. Get clear on your new health journey’s “why” and “what” you want. Together, we will work on your “how.”
- Make time at least once a week to plan your meals and movement and to go grocery shopping (or ordering).
- Journal and track your changes, how you feel, what’s working, and what needs adjusting.
- Let go of any “all-or-nothing” ideas and think baby steps. Remember progress over perfection.
- Create a sleep ritual. No one makes good decisions when they are tired.
- Start your day with a 5-10 minute mindfulness or gratitude practice. I do this as I enjoy my coffee.
- Make time to spend with people who lift your spirits and do the same for them. The power of community is invaluable.
Most of us start the new year with the best intentions but often find ourselves back in the same routine or rut. This is where working one-on-one with an Integrative Health Coach can change that.
You can expect:
- A Morselicious Customized Plan created for You: Your health plan will reflect your unique needs and goals, addressing challenges like fatigue, inflammation, digestion, or hormonal changes with strategies that fit your life, taste preferences, family, and lifestyle.
- Uncovering the Real Challenge/Root Cause: Together, we’ll look beyond the surface to find and fix the underlying causes of your concerns, whether it’s insulin resistance, autoimmune disease, gut health, chronic inflammation, or something else.
- Accountability/Ongoing Support: From motivation to expert advice, when things start to go off the rails, or life seems to get in the way, you’ll have the tools to build momentum and achieve results.
As you review the next few weeks to get clear on your health and wellness goals for 2025, remember you don’t have to embark on this journey alone. Schedule your free consultation to learn how customized one-on-one health coaching can work for you.
