This makes me giggle and yet, he’s right. If no one else will offer us a compliment, then we owe it to ourselves to offer one. Think of it. We can complement our hair EVEN on a Bad Hair day! No one’s the wiser.
It’s not unlike the concept of “Pay yourself first.”
“In order to take care of someone else, you need to be able to take care of yourself, first.”

All of these quotes and messages refer to the same idea. In order to live to our fullest potential, we must be truly honest with ourselves and take good care.
Only then, will we be able to fully share and help those around us.
